Inspired by the geisha look, the look for this collection was built on the concept of Origami. Making sure to stay true to the Upasana aesthic, the shoot was conceptulised with the idea of letting the garments do all the talking for themselves. Upasana’s collection played with the different drapes and falls of pure indigo khadi while keeping patterns with zero waste. Asymmetric drapes and free flowing silhouettes, emerged in this collection and was illustrated in the movement in the shots.

A play of drapes and grand indigo, the collection made in malkha is a celebration of the ancient tradition of natural indigo dying, keeping to this celebration and monsoon mood, the pictures were shot in the rain with the models themselves illustrating and embodying the concept of origami.
